Kahukiʻaialo - Words by Pilahi Pākī & Nāpua Stevens Poire, music by Irmgard Farden ʻĀluli

Kahukiʻaialo
Ka lei o Puamana
Ka home ma Lahaina
Kūlana hiehie ʻoe

Kuini o nā makamaka
Ke aliʻi wahine aloha
Puʻuwai hāmama
Piha i ke aloha nā kānaka

Puana ʻia kuʻu mele
Kahukiʻaialo
O ka malu ʻulu o Lele
E ō i kou inoa
Kahukiʻaialo
Beloved lei of Puamana
Our home in Lahaina
Oh, how regal you are

You are as a queen of many
Oh, beloved chiefess
With an open heart
Thus your subjects are filled with love for you

For it is told
Kahuki`aialo
From the breadfruit grove of Lele
Respond to your name
